When I went through my iTunes library today, I realized that my collection of Fred Falke remixes had become pretty damn impressive. I was actually going to bash Falke in this post for some of his later remixes that were a bit sub-par, but when I grabbed his two latest remixes today, I completely changed my mind.
Falke is a straight forward guy when it comes to remixing. You always have an idea about what you’re about to hear when you grab his tracks, as his sound is really easy to distinguish. This could easily become boring over time, because who wants to listen to remixes that all sound the same? But Falke always surprises me in a good way and he manages to make those small twists that lift the remixes from pretty average to pretty great.
