When I say Midfield General, you say Disco Sirens. It’s that simple really. But we’ve all moved on now, moved towards something more organic and less bangery… The good news are that Midfield General has moved on too! LA Friendly (who have been spitting out amazing new exclusives all week!) shared some of the Midfield General love the other day, with the release of Love Thy Self.
You’ll find the “Disco-ish Mix” below, an interesting take on the original although I wouldn’t really label it as disco. This thing feels hectic and mysterious at the same time, and when you make the obvious comparison to Disco Sirens, this feels much more mature (that doesn’t mean boring by the way) and closer to a real sound. The track sounds like it could explode any minute, but the huge drop is left out. We just have to enjoy the repetition instead.
