I’ve become increasingly fond of Twitter over the last couple of weeks, and even though the local support for Twitter is very limited, it seems that the music world is slowly starting to pick up. Futurecop!
Futurecop! isn’t exactly fresh out of the oven, but 2009 does look really promising for them! Their latest EP “The Lost City & The Lost City of Alvograth” dropped on Beatport on December 24th and will be widely available on January 20th, so 2009 could very well be the year for Futurecop. At least their 80′s inspired sci-fi sounds make my knees a little weak and that’s always a good thing!

Joe & Will Ask?
After listening to these guys a few times, I’m really starting to dig Joe & Will Ask? sound. It’s noisy and gritty as a lot of stuff out their, yet they manage to find a balance between the heavy bangery stuff and the more introvert and dark aspects of their sounds. They’ll drop a 12″ on Kitsuné sometime, I’ll keep you updated when they drop something new!

Huoratron
If Joe & Will Ask? worked with subtle nuances, Huoratron does the exact opposite. This must be the core of 8-bit terror hailing out from Finland to conquer the world. This is dark and heavy so beware. I can’t really figure out what his plans for 2009 are, but expect something mean.
