Pegase’s innocent synth pop amazed me a while ago when he shared a demo Without Reasons. I simply can’t get enough of that new breed of French artists making that kind of spacey disco with plenty of melancholy and emotion thrown in there. Pegase was nice enough to send over a couple of new tracks that, tracks that may very well be his best ones yet!
Where Without Reasons was a bit naive and introvert, Dream Awake sounds like a song that could easily break Pegase to a wider audience. The arrangement is tightened up while the melodies and vocals remain heartfelt and pure. This is easily my favorite Pegase track, and if he can keep up this level of awesomeness, we can only hope for a full album sometime soon!

Along with Dream Awake came a remix of Empire of the Sun’s beautiful Walking on a Dream. Pegase’s version is a bit more funky than his original stuff while putting more focus on the vocals. As with anything related to Walking on a Dream this is solid gold!
