Breezy electropop from Allure

Allure

Following Fare Soldi’s italo inspired take on electropop, Allure seems to be a pretty logical artist to come up next. Hiding out behind a black and white Myspace profile and namedropping inspirations ranging from The Beatles and David Bowie to Hot Chip and Jusitce, I didn’t really know what to expect when I first checked him out. The music really stands out though!

When you listen to Dandy it’s hard to forget that Allure is based in Paris, but in this case, French doesn’t mean distortion all over the place and a lack of time to breathe. In stead, Allure relies on the slap bass to show of his roots and places some sweet keyboards and synths on top to spice things up. Apparently there’s a vibraphone in there somewhere too..
