Remixes and remixers: Chromeo

When we’ve already had an A-Trak goodie bag of remixes up for grabs on here, it seems logical to do a little writeup on Chromeo’s remixes too. It’s hard to find a band that has been remixed by so many different artists with so many different sounds, but I guess Chromeo appeals to a pretty wide audience of remixers. The results are also pretty great.

The dramatic edge of Lifelike’s remix always makes me a little bit happier, Sinden’s funky take with Kid Sister on the vocals gives me a sudden urge to let go of my keyboard and start dancing like crazy, and Death To The Throne’s remix falls somewhat in between the work of the harder and more distortioned remixers and the more melodic ones, ending up being a pretty good (and original) one!

Chromeo – Tenderoni (Sinden remix feat. Kid Sister)

Chromeo – Needy Girl (Lifelike Remix)

Chromeo – Fancy Footwork (Death To The Throne)
