I’ve been waiting impatiently for this one to drop for what seems like an eternity. To be honest, I couldn’t think of a more interesting remix constellation… Russ Chimes and The Golden Filter both make some of the most interesting new disco sounds, and both acts have been hyped like crazy in the blogosphere.
You’ve probably already checked out the mixed version of Russ Chimes’ Solid Gold remix in his mix for Esper, although I had no idea that the finished remix would be this awesome. It’s fast paced and radically different from the chilled out original where the laid back groove was one of my favorite things about the track. But when Russ Chimes is behind the decks, there’s nothing to fear. The characteristic synths dominate this one, and when they’re finally unleashed in all their glory, this track becomes absolutely irresistible.
