I’ve been wondering how Kano could keep on being so awesome. Well, I guess the correct term would be “was”, but yeah… After digging through many piles of internet junk and occasional goodies, I’ve built a solid collection of Kano tracks, tracks that I’ll hopefully be able to share with you in the coming days.
I’m Ready is Kano at their best. A ridiculously long intro with hand claps ad libitum is followed by a funky groove and indistinguishable lyrics. One thing I really love about Kano, and a thing that is also quite present in this track, is the nerve. As with a lot of disco, you can really feel this one, but Kano always avoids being too robotic or too cold. This is aural passion of the finest breed.
