Another round of Sébastien Tellier remixes

Sebastien Tellier Chair

I hate to write a post that may seem as uninspired as this one at first sight. If you were here yesterday you have probably already grabbed the Strangelets remix of Kilometer that I blogged yesterday. And if you were here yesterday, you’ve most likely already vomited all over your keyboard just by the sight of Sébastien Tellier‘s name on here once again. I’m sorry.

The whole reason why this post is actually relevant is a comment from yesterday’s post. Dennis was nice enough to point me towards the Hypnolove remix of Tellier’s La Ritournelle, a track taken from the Politics album.

First of all I really dig the sound of the younger Tellier. This track seems a little more pure than the Sexuality stuff and the vocals on this remix are more straight forward. Also, if you liked the Strangelets remix I’m sure you’ll love this one. This is just as hypnotic and dark and uses many of the same effects. Great remix, thanks for the heads up Dennis!

La Ritournelle is by far my favorite Tellier song. I am very fond of epicness of the original, but the remixes are always fun, as is this one.

Don’t be ashamed about posting too much Tellier, the man and his music are worth all your words. I am really excited about seeing him SF this Friday.

The original is beautiful. Just heard it for the first time, stunning track. Also, is it just me or is the chord progression similar to the one in Radiohead’s “Reckoner”? Enjoy the show on Friday, wish he would stop by over here sometime.
