I should have somehow know that Foals had a passion for the minimal, techy stuff. With their repetitive bass lines and hypnotic guitar patterns, Foals have inspired, if not dance, then at least some sort of attempt at tapping my foot.
The Field never made music for the grand parties or dance floor explosions. While I have yet to hear his new album, From Here We Go Sublime and the first single The More That I Do reminded me of his qualities.
Foals’ take is similar to Willner’s usual approach with infinite loops and a dreamy vibe. This is a bit more accessible than the average The Field track, although this is probably never going to hit the mainstream crowd. Which is also ok, I guess.
