Since I have experienced blue skies, summer temperatures, hail and thunder today, I figured out we needed a post full of diversity here.
To bring summer to a pair of speakers near you, YACHT have decided to release their latest single, Psychic City, just in time for your barbeque parties. Using a childish groove and some instantly lovable vocals this track is everything MGMT wished to be and everything I wish Empire of the Sun would be.
The thunder today is delivered by a new Joakim track. I’m surprised this hasn’t received more blog-praise apart from a mention on A-Trak’s June list.
Resting on a restless synth figure, Watermelon Bubblicious both steps away from our ‘08 style french house and embraces it in a completely new way. This is ZZT with a happy ending, and I love it.
