Riding the tidal sampling wave

I’ve been digitally record digging lately. I’ve grabbed some old, obscure edits, beautifully sewn together by modern technology and creative minds. To me, a relatively young guy browsing through the endless internet rags, this is like discovering a new world. I’m no way near old enough to recognize any of the samples, so feel free to help me out. 6th Borough Project do the mixing this time with a sensual, funky jam.

Hi Rasmus,

Great choice mate.
Can’t help with the sample, but can point you in the direction of some similair vibes.
Try anything by The Revenge, Ooft music, Mark E, Prins & Thomas, Todd Terje…
A great Blog site to start off on, if you haven’t already is ‘feel my bicep’.
They’re always dropping great tunes.
Have fun.

Cheers Daryl! I’ve already dug through the Todd Terje edits and I think I may have stumbled upon the other names you mentioned. Feel My Bicep is already a steady force in my RSS reader, but you’re absolutely right: they’re always posting quality music.

You’re probably already listening to Beats in Space too, but if you aren’t, you should definitely check out their podcast. Solid mixes week after week
