Even though you should think that we have had our share of Joker shows in Copenhagen, he keeps on returning. We’re not complaining, though. Last night was the first time (I know, it’s crazy) I experienced Joker live, and my expectations were high. Although I can’t really figure out whether the show was fantastic or just good, Joker did the best he could to shake us down.
After being slightly underwhelmed by Rustie’s performance, I was eager to find out why everybody has been raving madly about Joker’s shows. It didn’t take long to figure that out. His control is perfect; constantly creating minor and major peaks in the mix, keeping us ready to explode throughout. That the party didn’t erupt until the very end wasn’t really an issue. When Joker ends up crowdsurfing to Out of Space, nobody really cares what has happened until then.
Another thing that really excited me about the show was the Turboweekend goodness. If you’re into dark electrorock, they’re definitely your kind of act, and yesterday, Joker did what he could to spread the love. Trouble Is opened the set, and Joker played his own remix for the very first time later on. Brilliant! Grab the digital goodies below to get a sense of just how nice it all was.
Until the Joker remix drops, you can entertain yourself with Holtoug’s excellent remix:

OMD u uploaded there tracks naughty boy !
For a limited time ‘n all, but yeah.
I don’t mean to steal anything from anyone, and people are always more than welcome to get in touch if they don’t want their tracks up. Fair should be fair.
Just thought it would help win some new fans over to two great acts with a small sample. Just by googling, most of the tracks are within reach after 2 secs anyway not to even mention the whole p2p mess. I know we’re in a guerilla-dilemma, but our intentions are always the best. We’re just fans trying to promote what we think is great, right? (:
