Infinite Joy

Hype. It’s such an ungrateful beast. We’re constantly tearing through the pages of our musical diaries in search of that next thing, the next kick, a couple of minutes worth letting yourself go to. I will not turn this into a science in any way, I just want to point out how nice it is, when we all agree on something. Like that Joy Orbison is a name to watch in 2009. Mixing garage, 2-step, and light dubstep elements together with a seldom seen sense for melody, he’s quickly turning into my favourite newcomer on the scene. Give his mix for Mary Anne Hobbs a spin if you’re curious to find out, where this young gun is heading production-wise.
