I have to admit that this was a spontaneous love affair, but my oh my is this a massive track. While Untold is quickly becoming one of my favourite producers of 2009, James Blake‘s remix is absolutely face-melting. This lifts the already excellent original to new heights and heightens my expectations for Blake’s future releases.

Labeling this track would be near impossible. You’re more than welcome to give it a shot in the comments, but whether this is dubstep, garage, 2-step, wonky, or future garage doesn’t matter all that much. What does matter, though, is that this track builds an incredible amount of tension into barely 4 minutes. Beefed up synth lines, mumbling vocal samples, and some sloppy percussion all make this track one of the best tracks of 2009.

I have this on repeat at the moment, it is incredible. I picked it up from Boomkat. You can get the whole release for barely two pounds which really is a bargain.
