3:36 worth of Martyn goodness. That’s all Ben Klock serves for us on his latest Berghain compilation. Somebody, somewhere, decided that it was not enough. Therefore, Ostgut Ton have decided to edge Martyn & Roman Lindau’s contributions in wax and release them to the world.

In between the big-room, late-night techno that Klock has specialized in, Martyn’s quirky rhythms come off as a refreshing variation. This is strictly no-frills techno, and apart from a vintage synth line, Martyn does little to change that. It’s hard to imagine anyone feeling full after two samples with less than 8 minutes of total play-time. As an appetizer for what Klock may be up to on Berghain vol 4. this works effortlessly, but there may be better 12″s to throw your money at.
